You reign in my dreams.
Vividly and intensely
I see your beautiful smile
and your thoughtful blue eyes.
Kindness and keenness
exude even in my imagined world.
Tribute to you
You are not just a pretty face.
You see, feel and engage the world.
Your words are carefully measured
and your actions meticulously analyzed.
You note and record all things that arise.
When dew hangs onto the morning’s leaves,
when stars above rise and shine,
you watch and wonder the glory
that surrounds us.
When children cry and mothers die,
when fathers shackled and blown into pieces,
you writhe in pain
and feel their outrage.
You don’t just pay lip service.
You go out and help the afflicted.
Your observations blow my mind,
Your kindness and humility outshine mine.
And when you smile,
when you really smile,
my whole world rises up into the sky.
